Miri – 3 August 2018 – School leavers keen to undergo Foundation studies at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) can apply for its August (Semester 2) intake before the commencement of classes on 13 August 2018.

Curtin Malaysia, the largest Australian international campus in the world located in Miri, as well as the largest international campus and Asian hub of Curtin University, offers quality degree courses in engineering and science, business and humanities identical to those at Curtin’s main campus in Perth at affordable Malaysian fees.

Its one-year Foundation programmes in Engineering, Science, Commerce and Arts (Media) feed directly into the degree programmes.

Furthermore, degrees earned at Curtin Malaysia are awarded directly by the main campus, and undergraduate students can transfer to the main campus or Curtin’s other international campuses in Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius to complete their degrees.

To find out more about the current intake and studies at Curtin Malaysia, in general, potential students and their parents are invited to visit its campus here for walk-in enquiries with student recruitment staff between 9 am to 5 pm Mondays to Fridays. Potential students are advised to bring their examination results for assessment and on-the-spot applications.

The Foundation programmes at Curtin Malaysia are designed for school leavers to gain the essential skills and knowledge for a smooth transition to tertiary study, providing the best possible fundamentals to undertake a Bachelor’s degree. All are recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Students who pass the Foundation Studies in Commerce course can enter the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Commerce (with both single and double majors) at the Faculty of Business, while those completing the Foundation Studies in Arts can enter the Faculty of Humanities’ Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communication) programme.

Meanwhile, the Foundation Studies in Engineering and Foundation Studies in Science courses prepare students for undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Engineering (with Honours), Bachelor of Technology (Computer Systems & Networking); and Bachelor of Science (Applied Geology) programmes. They also qualify to enrol in the Bachelor of Business Administration; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts programmes.

In addition, students with outstanding results in the SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level and UEC examinations are advised to take advantage of the Curtin Malaysia Foundation Scholarships and Curtin Malaysia Merit Scholarships.
