7 Habits

Dr Stephen R. Covey (1932-2012) was and remains a hugely influential management guru. Covey's most famous book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, became a blueprint for personal development when it was published in 1990. The principles may be used for life in general— they are not limited to workplaces, management, and leadership.

Covey's concepts actually can help people to grow, change, and become more effective in just any other aspect of human responsibility that you might imagine. Covey describes three distinct stages of Dependence, Independence, and Interdependence. Altogether, the gradualism is deemed as personal growth.

LEC offers a series of two 7 Habits workshops. In 7 Habits: Part I, participants will be introduced to the first three habits that emphasise moving from dependence to independence:
Habit 1- Be Proactive
Habit 2- Begin with the End in Mind
Habit 3- Put First Things
In 7 Habits: Part II, participants will learn about the rest of the habits that focus on interdependence and continuous improvement in both personal and interpersonal spheres of influence:
Habit 4- Think Win-Win
Habit 5- Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Habit 6- Synergize
Habit 7- Sharpen the Saw

Both these workshops are offered in (Semester) / (Date) and students of all levels are encouraged to join. Interested? You may join either or both series simply by registering here (ERO link). We do however encourage you to begin with Part I before moving on to Part II of the workshop.
