Curtin University

The John Curtin Leadership Academy (JCLA) is Curtin University’s prestigious leadership program, delivered through LEC. Participants are selected on the basis that they have the potential to embody John Curtin’s values of Vision, Leadership and Community Service.

“During my time as a JCLA Ambassador, I had the opportunity to learn from team members, facilitators, government officials, volunteer in our projects, and of course the participants of our projects. And a tough JCLA coordinator actually brought me into perspective in organising things. The heights to which my group assumed was impossible to achieve, was reasonably achieved. Through the Blind Campaign in which I was the chairman, the two things I learned that was most valuable to me would be planning and teamwork.JCLA has changed me from different perspectives. I have become more charitable, mature, disciplined, understanding, and more acceptable towards a diversity of views.”
